Perimeter at Internet 2010 and FIS 2010

The coming week is going to be a busy one for the Perimeter consortium with presentations and demonstrations at two major conferences.
Internet 2010
Perimeter will present at the Second International Conference on Evolving Internet(INTERNET 2010) in Valencia, Spain this coming week.
The presentation entitled “Providing an User Centric Always Best Connection” will be given by Martin Dobler from FHV. This is based on a paper written by Jens Schumacher, Martin Dobler, Eileen Dillon, Gemma Power, Markus Fiedler, David Erman, Karel De Vogeleer, Manuel Oritz Ramos and José Rodríguez Argente.
This paper provides an insight into how user centric seamless mobility is being achieved by PERIMETER, beginning with an explanation of QoE and the need for preferences. More details of the complete system, including QoE management, user feedback and the final delivery, are provided.
Martin will give the presentation on Thursday, September 23. He will also be chairing the “Graph Theory/Topology/Routing Internet Support II & AQM/QoS, Internet Challenges II” session on Tuesday 21 September.

FIS 2010

Meanwhile, Eileen Dillon will be presenting Perimeter at the 3rd Future Internet Symposium (FIS 2010) in Berlin. This presentation will be based on the accepted paper entitled “Experimental Testing in the Future Internet PERIMETER Project“. This paper, written by Eileen Dillon, Gemma Power and Frances Cleary Grant, provides an insight into the testing and experimental testing aspects of the PERIMETER project and the role of testbeds in this regard. This presentation will take place on Tuesday 21 September.
Later that day, during the Posters and Demonstrations session, Eileen will be demonstrating the PERIMETER project functionality using a Google Android device with the PERIMETER middleware installed. This will be illustrated with the aid of the purpose built PERIMETER Visualisation Tool.
